The Mamas & Papas Sola 2 is similar in functionality to the Urbo 2, but is a couple pounds heavier and slightly bulkier when folded. It is also ~$200 cheaper and features all-terrain wheels that can handle significantly bumpier conditions.
Things We Love
- Looks Sharp: The Sola 2 looks great in all available colors, and some options even include vegan leather accents.
- Bassinet Sold Separately: The cozy bassinet is gorgeous and sold separately.
- Flat Recline; Adjustable Footrest: The Sola 2’s seat reclines flat (no bucket seat!) and has an adjustable footrest for optimal napping position. The flat recline makes this seat suitable for newborns.
- Medium Storage: The Sola 2’s storage basket is neither big nor tiny. It will fit a large diaper bag without issue, but will not be able to carry much more.
- Modular: The Sola 2 seat easily pops off and flips around to be parent-facing or forward-facing.
- Great Suspension; All-Terrain Wheels: The Sola 2’s 10 inch air-filled rear wheels and 7.5 inch front wheels are complete with all wheel suspension. This stroller can tackle bumpy conditions but is also small enough to maneuver on city streets. (This is the main way the Sola 2 differs from the Urbo 2.)
- Many Accessories Included: The Sola 2 comes with a rain cover, a bumper bar, and even a footmuff. All other accessories, including the bassinet, car seat adapters, cup holder, and more are sold separately.
- Compatible with the Best Car Seats: The Sola 2 is compatible with Cybex, Graco, Maxi Cosi, Nuna, and Peg Perego car seats with adapters sold separately.
Things We Don't Love As Much
- Medium Weight: Weighing in at 22 pounds, the Sola 2 is about 5-10 pounds lighter than full-sized strollers and about 5-7 pounds heavier than travel strollers.
- Simple, Bulky Fold: The Sola 2 folds in one simple step; however the resulting fold is quite bulky.
- Not Convertible to a Double Stroller: The Sola 2 is a single stroller and does not convert to a double stroller.
